Brian Stuesser

Brian Stuesser, President of Global Recruiters of Madison (GRN Madison) and WholePlanetJobs.com, bought the 4-time GRN “Office of the Year” in November, 2009. Former G.M. & V.P. Business Development & Founder of the Natural Products Division at GRN Madison, Brian continues to lead a national practice that specializes in placing “difference makers” in the Dietary Supplement, Specialty/Functional Food and Beverage categories.

He and his team have successfully completed search assignments in general management, sales, marketing, QA/QC, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, purchasing and merchandising. Their clientele includes privately-held and publicly-traded emerging and high-growth companies within the Natural Products Industry ranging in annual sales volume from $5 million to nearly $1 billion.

Since 2005, Stuesser has been a perennial GRN Peak Performer, Million Dollar Producer, former Rookie of the Year, 3-time Central Region Search Consultant of the Year and National Search Consultant of the Year, Brian is dedicated to developing long-term strategic alliances with client companies and candidates alike, and he strictly adheres to his guiding principles of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. His team’s goal is to offer world class permanent placement services by providing leading companies top performing talent, under the most demanding deadlines, who meet and exceed expectations.

Scott Rice

Scott Rice, Vice President of Business Development, Food & Beverage/Natural Products Division at Global Recruiters of Madison, leads the search efforts of a 3-person team focused primarily in the Natural Products Industry with secondary emphasis in the FDM and conventional Grocery classes of trade. Scott, former Rookie of the Year and perennial GRN Peak Performer, was awarded as GRN’s Search Consultant of the Year - Central Region in 2009 and 2010.

Scott’s market platform includes working with natural/organic/well being food & beverage portfolio investments of several private equity groups ranging in size from $650M to $1B+. His team focuses on regional, director, vice president, president and C-suite searches with over 80% of their business being engaged or fully retained.

Scott grew up in Wisconsin on a rural hobby farm where he learned the virtues of natural/organic “from the ground up.” He later received a BS degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and now he and his wife, Sara, and daughter Lilyah, enjoy attending UW Madison sporting events, traveling and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors. They are big supporters of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and their local Willy Street Co-op. Scott also serves as President for his local Neighborhood Association.

Brad Nelson

Brad Nelson, V.P. of Business Development, works primarily with contract manufacturers and ingredient companies supplying raw materials to finished goods manufacturers. He provides hiring trend information to industry groups and the media and his clientele includes privately-held and publicly-traded emerging and high-growth companies within the ingredient sector.

Brad received a BS-Business Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Brad is very health-conscious, enjoys staying fit, and is an avid musky fisherman.

Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith, Senior Project Coordinator, leads search initiatives across multiple classes of trade including Natural, Grocery, Foodservice, C-store and Club searches. With a background in agency advertising, she strives to build meaningful and lasting relationships with her clients and her full-service, consultative recruiting services cross many corporate verticals at all levels within an organization.

Sarah's reputation for taking the time to learn about her clients, the unique requirements of the position and corporate culture enable her to truly partner with her clients, recruiting some of the most talented and sought-after professionals in the industry. Her integrity and passion for achieving extraordinary results has allowed her to create long-lasting relationships with clients and difference-making candidates, alike.

Sarah received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2006. She is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever, Chocolate Lab and two cats when she’s not at work. Sarah is also a long-time equestrian and continues to refine her dressage skills with her trainer and horse, Bubbles.

Joe Pfaller

Joe Pfaller, Director of Business Development, leads both business development and search initiatives across multiple disciplines and classes of trade. His clientele includes privately-held and publicly-traded companies in the food and beverage, ingredient, and health and wellness sectors.

Pfaller completed his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he became an expert in personality evaluation, job analysis and career development. His expertise in psychology provides a competitive advantage by helping him quickly understand a client's needs and, subsequently, thoroughly evaluate top talent to match a company's strategic objectives and unique culture.

Joe is known for his strong communication skills, strategic thinking and his ability to form genuine relationships with client companies and candidates alike. It is his goal to offer best in class permanent placement services by providing leading companies top performing talent, under the most demanding deadlines, who meet and exceed expectations.
